  Cat Ba langur is only found on Cat Ba island of Viet Nam. It has the smallest distribution of any langur species in the world. The species is considered critically endangered by The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) since 2000. As of 2006 the estimated population was 64 individuals.

VietNam's Endemic Primates Tour

15 Days: Ho Chi Minh_Cat Tien_Son Tra Naute Reserve_Mang Den Plateu_Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park_Van Long Nature Reserve_Hanoi

Day 1: Arrive Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh to Cat Tien National Park.
Arrive at Ho Chi Minh City and travel by car to Tan Phu and Cat Tien National Park, 150km to the north. We will spend 3 days searching for 4 endangered species primates: Black-shanked Douc Langur, Annam Silver Langur, Yellow-cheeked Gibbon, and Slow Lorris.
Overnight at Cat Tien National Park.

Days 2 & 3 & 4:
Three full days at Cattien National Park, our target mammals are: Yellow-cheeked Gibbon, Black-shanked Langur, Annam Silver Langur and Slow Lorris. Other mammals also found here are: Gaur and Leopard Cat.
Overnight at Cat Tien National Park.

Days 5: A morning birding at Cat Tien then back to Ho Chi Minh airport to take a short flight to Da Nang airport.
Overnight at Da Nang.

Days 6: Son Tra Nature Reserve.
A full day at Son Tra for one of Asia’s more unique primates, Red-shanked Douc Langur. Overnight at Da Nang.

Days 7: Da Nang to Mang Den Plateau.
A long drive to Mang Den Plateau, home of the rarest endemic primate: Gray-shanked Duoc Langur.

Days 8:
A full day at Mang Den in search of Gray-shanked Duoc Langur.
Overnight at Mang Den

Days 9: Mang Den to Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park.
Leaving Mang Den in the morning for long driving to Phong Nha-Ke Bang to search for the beautiful Hatinh Langur.
Overnight at Phong Nha.

Days 10 & 11:
Two full days at Phong Nha-Ke Bang for Hatinh Langur

Days 12: Phong Nha-Ke Bang to Van Long Nature Reserve.
A full days at Van Long Nature Reserve, our last amazing endemic is Delacour’s Langur. This species endemic to Vietnam!
Overnight at Van Long.

Days 13: Van Long Nature Reserve.
A morning at Van Long Nature Reserve where is coolest endemic primate is Delacour’s Langur live on limestone. Then drive to Cat Ba Island.
Overnight at Cat Ba.

Days 14: Cat Ba Island.
A day at Cat Ba Island for endemic rarest CatBa Langur one of very difficult one.
Overnight at Cat Ba.

Days 15: Cat Ba to Ha Noi.
A day for Catba Langur again before drive to Ha noi. Overight at Hanoi or International departures from Hanoi International Airport.

Days 16:
International departures from Hanoi International Airport.
